NASCAR: Talladega…Not sure what to say??
Jamie McMurray won Sunday’s AMP Energy 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, race No. 7 in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, surviving two violent late-race crashes to win his first race since Daytona in July 2007. On the last lap, a huge multi-car crash took out Mark Martin and Jeff Gordon and allowed Jimmie Johnson to finish eighth, virtually assuring him of a fourth consecutive NASCAR Sprint Cup championship. My Thoughts: I think Talladega needs some help. There is no reason to have guys driving in a single file line for most of the day. Fans are blaming NASCAR for their no bump drafting in the corners rule, this is nothing new as we’ve seen this rule before in Daytona but the problem is 500 mile is too long of a race for a track like this. I think NASCAR should split the race into two races and also split the point for each race. The races would be 50 laps each and whereever you finished you would get half the points of a regular race and if there’s a caution at the end you put 5 laps back on the board…STOP THE GREEN-WHITE-CHECKED at restrictor plate races!

Listen to SPEED Radio and RaceDay on Fox Sports Radio this week as we will discuss the woderful world of racing.

NHRA: Gamble pays off in Vegas
Hight was able to dispatch Force Hood in the first round and go on to win his third race in the Countdown, and likely passed the sleepless mantle to Top Fuel’s Larry Dixon, who made the finals Sunday and closed to within a single point of leader Tony Schumacher. Click Here | Points

F1: Vettel wins Abu Dhabi
Sebastian Vettel won the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Sunday stealing the lead from Lewis Hamilton who was forced to retire after suffering brake failure in his McLaren. Hamilton had held the lead from pole with Vettel keeping pace at the start. Vettel took the lead when Hamilton came in for his first pit stop on lap 18. Vettel followed shortly after and was able to come out ahead of Hamilton. Click Here | Points

TRUCKS: Teammates make it happen at Dega
Kyle Busch and Aric Almirola jumped past leader Todd Bodine on the frontstretch of the last lap at Talladega Superspeedway to finish 1-2 in Saturday’s Mountain Dew 250. It was the first 1-2 finish for Billy Ballew Motorsports and the fifth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race in a row Busch has won when driving the No. 51 Miccosukee Resorts Toyota Tundra.
